Inspector VS. Engineer

Inspector VS. Engineer
I am a home inspector. I am also a Civil Engineer. Do you need to be an engineer to perform a home inspection? My professional opinion is NO, you do not need to be an engineer to perform a home inspection. Does being an engineer help an inspector perform a better home inspection? Definitely YES. The amount of education and training that I have sets me apart from the average home inspector. With All Hands Home Inspection you are getting an engineer at a home inspector price. Many other home inspection web sites will actually try to convince you that being an engineer in the home inspection business is a bad idea. Maybe because they are not engineers. You make the choice.

Mike Boyle is a retired New York City Battalion Chief.  I worked in the FDNY for 23 years. Presently I am a full time home inspector. This is my only business. I have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. I feel that my experience in the FDNY, my  degree in Civil Engineering, and the many thousands of home inspections that I have performed make for a well rounded professional.  I am dedicated to inspecting your future home, for you. You will be glad that you did. I guarantee it!

Thank you for your interest in All Hands Home Inspection. Buying a house is a major undertaking for almost every buyer. The process of buying a house seems to be getting more and more complicated. There are more papers to sign, people to hire, and fees to be paid than ever before. The home inspector is one of the first and most important professionals in the house buying process. My pledge as a home inspector is to inspect every possible aspect  of the home to the best of my ability. I will climb on almost any roof. I will enter every accessible attic. I will enter all crawl spaces. I will probably be dirty at the end of the inspection. So will you if you want to be. I will thoroughly explain every mechanical and structural element that I inspect. We will recap the good points and the bad points after the inspection. I strongly encourage your attendance. I will provide a complete written report. I will provide termite, water, septic, and radon testing if desired. I will be available for follow up questions and advice. I would love to add you to my list of thousands of satisfied clients. Thank you.
